Following are our three core beers that you will always find on tap at The George. In addition to these core beers we offer a variety of house brewed seasonal beers, please come and visit us to discover what we are currently offering and don’t forget to follow us on twitter and Instagram to get sneak peeks into the latest of what we are brewing.
We reserve a couple of our taps for rotating guest craft beers and craft cider.

Founder’s Kolsch
Style: Kolsch
Founder’s is a lagered ale style beer originating from Cologne, Germany. Fermented with ale yeast then cold temperature conditioned like a lager. This style of beer has been made since the 1600’s but the term Kolsch wasn’t used until 1918.
This beer is a clean, crisp and balanced golden ale with slight malty sweetness and bready notes. This full bodied ale is balanced by ‘Noble’ hops.

Borland Roe Tavern Ale
Style: English Session Ale
Our take on the classic english session ales of the 1800’s that would have been consumed in the hay day of the King George Hotel. This refreshing and flavourful beer is categorized as mild and has a relative lack of hop bitterness. These beers we’re originally made to be drank in quantity.
Borland Roe Tavern Ale is a medium bodied, delicately-flavoured malt-accentuated beer which is balanced by english hops in the finish.

G5 Pale Ale
Style: American Pale Ale
Our Canadain take on the American adaptation of the English Pale Ale. American Pale Ales take the English style and use indigenous North American ingredients and was the most popular style until the emergence of the IPA.
Our Pale Ale is recognizable for its pale yellow colour, medium body, and prominent hop flavour, while remaining balanced and refreshing. This flavourful beer features citrus, tropical fruit, stone fruit and ripe field berries.
